In 2023, I was just 13–14 years old. But I made a decision that changed my life:I left school — and chose to face the harsh truths of life. It wasn’t easy.I was one of the top students, yet my choice shocked everyone.People kept asking,“Why?” After a while, I stopped explaining.Because people weren’t talking to support me anymore — they were talking to tear me down. BEGİNNİNG
It was the summer of 2022. I was in the last year of middle school. My classmates had gathered around me, and we were talking together.Everyone knew that I was always in different thoughts, so they found it normal when I suddenly said anything. And suddenly, I said, “I’m going to drop out of school.”
LEAVİNG SCHOOL
School had started, and I was about to begin high school. Within at most a month, I would definitely return home. Before school started, I told my family dozens of times that I would drop out, but they still didn’t understand how determined I was, and like everyone else, they thought I would eventually fail and betray my own spirit.
After Leaving School
I had set off for home, never to return to school again. Hundreds of scenarios were racing through my mind. I knew damn well they would try to force me back, but I kept repeating the promise I made to myself:
“This is my life, my will, my decisions. I swear to myself: I will never go back on this decision.”
